Ravi Yadav was born in Muskabad , a small village in Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh.
He did his primary schooling in his district.
He was not from a rich background. He completed his 10th and 12th from Sunflower Public School Nandganj Ghazipur in 2020.
After the completion of his 12th exam the faced the COVID 19 pandemic after that the ministry of defence announced that they will recruit all the soldiers in Indian armed forces only under the scheme of Agnipath. Ravi's dream was to join Indian Airforce so he decided to fill the application form and started preparing for the entrance exam. Total 7.48 lakhs of students have applied for it and nearly 20000 cleared the written exam and after that few of them cleared physical test , SRT , Group Discussion and were finally sent for their medical examination. 
Ravi gave his phase 2nd exam at 3 ASC Kanpur.
Finally he joined the first Agniveer Vaayu batch of Indian Airforce.

He was very much sad after getting selected as first Indian agniveer vaayu because his father was not there to see this proud moment. He lost his father in February 2022 , 6 months prior to his selection.
